[RC] Treatment of serious ear infection in Great Dane pup - Maryanne Gabbani

Sorry for the OT request to Ridecamp but a good friend of mine has a half sister of my Dane and she had a tick attached to her ear drum when she arrived from the breeder. The tick was removed but the pup has an ear infection that was being treated with Cifobid (sp) injected twice daily. She is walking around with her head on one side and a recent x-ray shows some narrowing of the ear canal. Our vets here are, to say the least, rather unsophisticated, and the one treating her is also checking abroad for some clues about the treatment. She's a lovely pup and is eating, drinking, and playing normally....just with this head tilt that worries us that the infection isn't gone.

Suggestions for tests, treatments, whatever, will be happily accepted.
