Re: [RC] bruised tailbone - Kathleen

Okay, I just went through this myself lol.  I was trimming the mini's back hoof, with it held between my calves, instead of up between my knees like on a bigger horse.  I was leaning way over, and he jerked his leg up and got me right in the tailbone with the back of his hock.  I suffered for a week or more before going to the dr.

He told me to take large doses of Ibuprofen (3 or 4) and then ice it for 15 minutes.  I did this once or twice a day for a few days, and it felt MUCH better!

HTH,
Kathleen

Subject: [RC] bruised tailbone

I recently bruised my tailbone and was wondering what
sorts of various options other people have done in
order to keep riding....?

Riding with a donut is TOTALLY out of the options!!!
;)
