Re: [RC] [RC]minor anemia (was Beet Pulp) - Keith Kibler

My endurance horse gets purina equivelent of strategy, ultium and sloppy beet pulp twice a day , grass hay and alfalfa mix and spends the rest of the nibbling grass. I had not had blood work done on him since I have owned him and just did that. He came up just barely anemic according to my vet. He said 2 b12 shots a week apart and I needed to use some sort of supplement. Suggestions please.
This is a 12 year mftr that appears extrememly fit and hard, that gets ridden an average of 3 times a week, has over 600 miles on him this year and weighs right at 1000 lbs, he is 15.2 hands
Thanks for the advice in advance.
Keith
