Interesting article. If I interpret the results correctly, beet pulp has almost no effect in raising the glycemic index- 1% of what oats - and well below hays. That makes one wonder if the horse would not be better off eating hay instead of beet pulp. As far as providing glucose, it seems say that beet pulp is about as good as cardboard.

Am I reading this worng?
