Subject: [RC] question for those riding in leather saddles
Date: Thu, 6 Jul 2006 10:18:41 -0400

after riding in a synthetic saddle for 6 years, i just got a new leather
saddle. so today i was happily day dreaming about doing a nice long ride on
sunday and planning on attaching the sponge to the saddle when i realized
that this wet sponge will be bouncing all around my new, beautiful leather
saddle!!! then i thought about the fact that there are many distance riders
using leather saddles and sponges. so what's the trick? does regular care of
a saddle prevent any permanent damage or do i just have resign myself to
inevitable?
thanks!
marta
