Re: [RC] rib out of place - Laney Humphrey

An equine body worker I know looked at my friend's horse and diagnosed his issue as having the first rib out of place. He carefully tugged on the horse's leg; the horse looked surprised but was immediately much happier. Some chiros and other body workers talk about ribs being displaced, others don't seem to have heard of it or don't believe it. Who knows?!

Does anyone have experience with managing a horse that has "a rib out of place" per chiropractor? Looking for a home management strategy. The chiro. suggested stretches, mounting from a block, and a return to him if needed. Kathleen Weickhardt
