Hey Cindy,  I have one "run out" barn and am just getting ready to build 
a run out shed of about the same dimensions that you are builiding.  The 
only thing I would do a little different is to make it taller than 8 
foot. IF a horse rares, problems. If you are working with a tractor and 
a mistake happens cause the operator is tired ( I could show you scars 
on this mind you) a disaster could happen.  I know a young man that was 
disfuguered for life and almost died due to a low overhang while on a 
tractor.
