[RC] Leg protection while traveling, pre- and post-ride - Sharon Levasseur

I've never noticed this before, but after the Pine Tree last Saturday I was the
only one I saw who put shipping boots on their horse. Everyone else was using
what looked like quilts and standing wraps (although I didn't ask exactly WHAT
anyone was using).

I understand that leg wraps are used in place of shipping boots to help support
the leg and tendon, especially after a long ride, and I think that's a great
idea but I'm wrap challenged. That's the big reason I've never used them
before... but looking at everyone else got me thinking. WOULD Boomers'
Bandages support the leg in the same way? They SAY they do... but is that just
marketing hype?

I was already considering getting a set of 4 Coolmedics leg wraps to use after
rides. Could THOSE be used in combination with bell boots for shipping home...
or are they too flimsy / not enough support? If they won't work for this
purpose, is there some solution that WOULD work but also would not need a
freezer (as I don't have a LQ)?

Thanks,
-Sharon L.
