Sid , my gelding got his foot hooked into the mesh hay
manger. He had some heat, swelling and was sore for a few days. This was on a
short trip under 1 hour. Anything hung low that they can get their leg into
should be used with caution. The mangers also need to have the bottom tied down
so they don't come up with their head in it.
If a horse can find a way to get into trouble they
will.
