during the night??

Hi Chrystal -- Some horses take more time to adjust to having four boots on. You should do as many training rides as you can between now and then with four boots on. Depending upon how your horse moves, he may have to adjust his way of going slightly and if given enough time that works great -- but if not then you run the risk of making something 'sore'. Some horses aren't affected the same as others.

I sometimes put the boots on the night before. Just leave the gaiter adjusted as loose as possible, and don't tighten the buckle. You can do that in the morning. I do like to take the boots off after finishing and put them on again in the morning if I am doing a 5 day ride on the same horse.

Good luck on your 75 miler!
