[RC] Indian Graves ridge - Amy Cieri

I love the history of the OD trails. We are really blessed to traverse these areas so critical to the history of our Country. Picturing the mules and men cutting their way up these mountains to hide out and battle their enemies, just astounding to think about. It's a task just with a fit horse and good fitting tack never mind pulling military equipment, tired men, cutting trees, clearing rocks. My God, it seems impossible but they did it.
I can just picture a burial up on Indian Graves Ridge. There is a particular rock that juts out over the edge. Perfect place to rest my old bones when it comes time. The view is stunning and as i said to a friend. When you get there look off to your right and enjoy the view, say a prayer for the souls resting there and let your horse do the dirty work.
It truly is a peaceful place if you allow it.
