Subject: [RC] any ideas for saddles for swaybacked horse - Susith

I have a swaybacked horse for whom I bought a Free n' Easy saddle last summer. It's got a flexible tree and has made a huge difference to his comfort. He's swaybacked, built downhill with arthritic hocks and is 17, and I was at my wits' end trying to fit him. This horse's attitude has improved 100 percent, he trots downhills, doesn't stumble, balk or spook as he used to.

I've tried custom made saddles and treeless and they don't work for this horse. The custom doesn't accommodate the moving horse and the treeless places can't distribute weight properly on that kind of back.

Good luck!
