The second effect is I believe would causes the issue pulling a trailer. When the wind comes down behind the true when you are towing at gooseneck it hits a big flat wall with no place to go since the front of the trailer blocks it from the back, the goose neck block it from above and the truck tail gate blocks it from the front.
