[RC] Sunday - Bruce Weary DC

Actually, Sunday was given it's name by the Egyptians long before Christians declared it a Sabbath. The Egyptians could see seven "planets" in the sky--the Sun, Mars, Venus, Saturn, Jupiter, Mercury, and the moon. They named the days of the week after these "planets"-- Saturday for Saturn, Monday for the moon, Wednesday for Venus, Sunday for the Sun, etc.,. Different religions declare different days of the week as their Sabbath. I guess that way, whatever day you choose to be out riding your horse, you can be sure to be offending somebody.
