10. The civil rights movement. It seems hard
to believe that schools, businesses etc. were segregated by skin color until the
60's.
11. Women's liberation. A fundamental change
in society. The first time in recorded history where women can choose to
marry or not, to have children or not and to have some expectation of receiving
equal pay for equal work.
