I think you've hit on one reason why some people are exploring other 
breeds, Jen.  I've owned probably at least 6 arabs and 1/2 arabs over 
the years and would own another if it wasn't so darned hard to find a 
decent one.  By "decent" I mean decent minded!  And sound.  And in my 
size range (short).  I look at horse ads for fun and it's pretty obvious 
that a horse described as "endurance prospect" is so crazy that no one 
can think of what to do with it.  So it must be good for endurance. 
Which speaks to another kind of prejudice: show ring towards distance 
sports!
