RE: [RC] [RC] Gaited horse statistics - Jessica CameronI ride a pure-bred arabian who's parents are both registered with AHA, but by the time I got him, at 4 years old, I was not going to fork over the $500 to get him registered and do the DNA and blood type tests on him just so I could have the privilege to say he's registered with the AHA. I have both of his parents papers and know what lineage he comes from, but I really didn't care what lines he came from, I just knew what I was looking for and he was it.IMO it really doesn't matter if your horse is registered or not, it all depends on what you want to do with your horse. I don't show and don't have any desire to show, so would not register my horse and I would much rather have the AERC keeping track of my miles rather than the AHA, since AERC is not a "breed registry."
