I have been toying with the idea of taking out
insurance for my competing young mare. I have read the different types of
equine insurance, mortality, major medical and surgical only. My question
is this, if you have a care due to injury done at the barn is there insurance to
cover the cost. A friend of mine had a horse tear up her leg pretty bad
and the cost was in the thousands, there was no "surgery" done, but there was
extensive care the vet did. Excellent vet by the way. I know they
have it for dogs, but what about horses?
