I don't have a recommendation on a particular feeding protocol but I can 
suggest one thing.  Do NOT feed him so much "good" stuff that he grows too 
fast... or too much.  Most of us want big, healthy horses but the "healthy" 
part can get lost if our babies put on too much growth for their genetic 
makeup.
