[RC] camping in tents - Beth Bliss

I camped in a tent for years at CTR rides.  I got one that you could stand up in to get dressed.  It was canvas and had windows on all four sides.  I loved the air flow on hot nights.  It was a "Black Sheep" brand.  After giving it to a neighbor when I had living quarters, later I wanted a tent for my daughter and granddaughter to use when we all went camping. I never could find that brand again.  I tried other tents, but they leak!  Then, as I searched further for a dry tent, I discovered in the descriptions that not all tents are rated not to leak - which in my simple mind makes no sense at all.  Since you are a backpacker - I assume you can trust your tent to stay dry, but anyone looking for a tent might want to ask if they stay dry before purchasing.  And yes, I did seal the seams and spray with water repellent and pitch it tight - still leaked.

What I didn't like about the tent was having to take it down at the end of the ride - and if it was wet - I had to put it back up at home to dry it before stowing it away.
