[RC] Kigers and Kiger/Arabs - Dianne Chaffee

I had a 20 year old Arab mare in for breeding and she ran circles around my Kiger stallion for three hours LOL. But she had skin like tissue paper and was always getting cut or scraped - unlike my horses. Too bad she was too old to conceive, cervix didn't open because she was 20 and never been bred. She was a great mare and it would have been super to see the foal. Boy, could she move!
I have Kigers and find them to be a balance of willing to please and lazy. They like to conserve energy but I've found in training that they are very responsive, level headed and willing to work hard to please you. I know that they love adventure from trail riding with them. Great personalities, the best I've ever known in a horse and great bone and feet. Seems like the right Arab and the right Kiger would make a great endurance horse.
I just ride trail but have friends who ride endurance and will be using their Kigers after they grow up. It will be really interesting to see more Kigers and especially Arab/Kiger crosses in endurance and see how they do.
There are a bunch of pictures of Kigers on my Webshots site at http://community.webshots.com/user/ied0c I think you'll be surprised.
