[RC] Tents vs. LQ's - sandy . l . holder

Heh Mel,

I can only speak for myself but I think a lot of us out here started in tents. . . then we 'wanted more'. . . a shower, a porta pottie, a real bed, insulation, cabinets. . .

Of course if you're like me, you "graduate" when you can afford it.  I started in the back of my suburban, went to a tent, slept in my buddies LQ, bought a LQ shell (froze when I got out of bed this past weekend) and WILL be making the shell into an LQ. . . as soon as I have the time and the $'s!!!

I can't think of any other reason not to sleep in a tent (well, unless horses get loose and run through your tent) except for creature comforts.  Nobody's ever 'looked down' on me for not have a $100,000 living quarters and I'm sure they won't have any problems with you doing it. . . only thing people get touchy about is if you don't take care of your horse!  Oh, and on the horse side. . . I used to bring a sparkling white horse to the rides (would wash him and put him in a stall overnight so he didn't get dirty). . . that too has changed.  Now my friends call him "pig pen" . . . LOL!!

Take care and have fun!!!
Sandy
