One of the popular areas near Missoula had a rash
of truck break-ins this fall. A person who got upset when their truck was
vandalized staked out the lot and after a couple of weeks were able
to catch the teenagers doing the stuff. I don't remember if they
caught them, or just provided sufficient evidence to the police for them to
act.
Please lets not get into a discussion about the
propriety of messing with criminals etc. A simple report of license
numbers and perhaps photos will be all that is needed etc. If an adult wants to
do more, that is their own decision.
