==========================================

I'm pretty impatient about new items,usually write'em off quickly if they
aren't "right" real quickly. Forced by circumstance (no time to fix my good old
broken tree Buena Vista)to "put up with" my back up saddle,a Tarpin Hill
trooper,for the last year,I've been-until recently-pretty unhappy with it.
Suddenly,things have changed for the better;a lot better.The stirrup leathers
have stopped pinching and rubbing,and the back of the seat has stopped
rubbing,etc.Part of it might be me finally adjusting to IT,but mainly I think
it is just that a good saddle may take more miles than we realize to settle
in.One guy told me that the (indestructably sturdy) Tucker trooper should to be
completely soaked in a barrel of water when new,then ridden!Probably a good
idea.
