[RC] Research question: Foot issues - Lif Strand

I am wondering how many people have ever had to give a horse a large amount of time off due to foot issues? I'm thinking of horses that are being converted from shod to barefoot, who may have had foot injuries, etc.

I am wondering if a specialized lay-up facility would be useful/utilized in these sort of circumstances, how much people would be willing to pay to board horses at such a facility, how far they'd be willing to transport a horse to such a facility. Thanks for any input!
