Hi Kristi - thanks for the reply.  I have had someone else mention risks of 
the breast collar itself.  Like you, I think the benefits far outweigh the 
risks.  I count myself lucky that Cody did not break a leg when he got 
tangled in the saddle that was hanging under his belly.  That is not a risk 
I want to take with him again.

When it comes to how we equip ourselves and our horses, we will all 
ultimately make our own decisions.  The best we can do for each other is to 
share our experiences.  Hopefully, those shared experiences can help us each 
make our own decisions as we continue share our lives with horses.
