[RC] An ounce of prevention - Kristi Schaaf

Nikki -
I don't have your personal email so I'll have to say
'thanks' on the list for your post. I forwarded it to
hubby, who is sporadic in his use of a breast collar.
I believe that one saved me years ago on a horse who
spun and bolted (the well-fitting saddle still turned,
but only as far as the breastcollar allowed it). I
managed to stay on and unhurt, and I believe the
breastcollar was a major factor. Glad your horse came
out okay from his injuries. OUCH! Yes, all you
naysayers, there are 'risks' to using a breastcollar,
such as getting a tree branch caught it in, etc, but I
think the pros usually far outweigh the cons..

Life's a journey, so enjoy the ride (and try not to fall off)
