[RC] How Do YOUR Endurances Horses Live? - Todd Hezeau

I live in the city and board our horses. Lucky enough, I have found a barn that has 15 acres and the people who own are always looking out for everybody's horses. I've been there for almost 6 years if that says anything about how good a place this is. They are in pasture for most of the day but are let in during the evening to a 12x 12 stall. We (my horse and I) ride 3 times a week weather permitting and then sometimes that doesn't matter to me. We have an 8.6 mile "course" through empty fields, a park, some good bicycle trails with some small hills and some road sides. I do have to cross a busy road to get to most of this but it has a stop light where we cross. I can adjust the distance for short or just double it or anywhere in between. I can make it different each time so it doesn't get that boring. I do trailer out on occasion.

The horses get grained twice a day (morning before turn out and evening after turn in) they have access to good grass for most of the year and round bales are put out in winter.  We are looking for our own place in the country as I write this cause I have had it with the city. At that point they will have 24/7 turn out.

Safe Riding,
Todd
