I wholeheartedly agree! One of my favorite horse books is "There are No
Problem Horses, Only Problem Riders" by Mary Twelveponies.

It really changed the way I saw my relationship with my horse. Whenever
she acts up instead of going to her to see what *her* problem is, I look
at what I'm doing and what I can do to correct/alleviate the problem.

Great book, highly recommended:

Julienne,

I own the book and recommend it also.  However, the horses pictured in the book are astoundingly and almost disturbingly unfit.  Most of the horses pictured would rate a 9 (extremely fat) on a body condition scale (http://www.umext.maine.edu/onlinepubs/htmpubs/1010.htm).  I think Mary Twelveponies must spend most of her time on groundwork and walking.  I believe I recall that somewhere in the book she says she never gallops her horse and recommends against that.  So, it has a lot of good information in it, but you have to look past a few things too.  The cover of the book said it had something in there for endurance riders, but I never found a reference to endurance - maybe I just missed it.

Overall though, I would recommend the book.
