Would someone please explain to me how the proteins in this substance escape being cleaved into small bits by the digestive process? To make my question clearer: Insulin is a protein. If you eat a pig's pancreas, your blood sugar is not effected, but if you inject insulin, separated from the same pancreas, you can treat your diabetes.
