The above is a quote from a web advertisement for the subject substance. Would someone please explain to me how the proteins in this substance escape being cleaved into small bits by the digestive process?

To make my question clearer: Insulin is a protein. If you eat a pig's pancreas, your blood sugar is not effected, but if you inject insulin, separated from the same pancreas, you can treat your diabetes.
