[RC] Trailer accident - Winter, Randy or Cheryl

Jen,
Sounds like you your friend and the horses were very luck that day. Would
you mind sharing with us what happened that you lost control of the trailer.
Maybe there is a lesson for all of us to learn from your experience about
how we all can try to avoid towing accidents in the future.

I just want to let remind everyone to hug there horses everyday. You =
could lose them at any moment. My friend and I were on our way to the =
Rogue Riders endurance clinic on Sat. morning and I lost control of my =
tow vehicle and my trailer swung us all the way around and turned over =
on it's side. We were able to get her horse out fairly quickly, but my =
boy was trapped inside for probably close to 1/2 an hour. The metal =
panel that separated the tack room from the horse area came off of it's =
hinges and had my boy's leg trapped between the door and the spare tire. =
With the help of three Good Samaritans and the grace of god we were =
able to get his leg free and actually remove the panel from the trailer. =
Luckily for everyone involved, Banjo was shut down and completely calm =
the whole time. The scariest thing was when he was no longer trapped he =
still did not want to get up. I had to pull his head up over his back =
and I believe this is rather uncomfortable, but it convinced him to get =
up on his own. The CHP was talking about putting chains on him and =
sliding him out. (no thanks). But, to condense the rest of it, =
EVERYBODY is ok. My friend and I were not hurt at all and our beautiful =
trusty steeds came through it all with minor wounds and bruising. =
Epona watched over us all that day. So, I just want to say, Be =
careful everyone and be grateful for every second you have with your =
horse(s).
And, although none of them will ever read this, I want to say a =
heartfelt Thank You to all people who helped us through our accident.
Jen and Banjo
