RE: [RC] Ariat Terrains - Quality?? - Kristen A Fisher

Hmm... I feel exactly the opposite. I have the $180 Ariat paddock boots and think they are pretty uncomfortable after a couple hours around the barn. My dress boots are almost easier for me to wear now. And this is the 2nd pair of Ariat paddock boots I have gotten and I'm not that impressed with how they hold up.

Once I got the Terrains, I just flat won't wear anything else on trail. The only issue I have with them is I wish they were taller; I have to wear socks on the outside of my tights to keep the tights from being pulled out of the boot [I also ordered a pair of stirrup tights which will probably solve that] and you can get debris inside the boot a bit easier.

I too got the 8 and always wear 8.5.

Subject: [RC] Ariat Terrains - Quality??

I am an Ariat fan, and I do own the Terrains.  However, I have found that they are only comfortable for about 20 - 25 miles.  I can't wear them for an entire 50 mile ride.  I will have to change to my Ariat Cobalt paddock boots at some point in a 50.  If the trail isn't too mucky, I'll ride the whole 50 in them. The Terrains do not have the same system in them as the Cobalts (the Terrains are either 4LR or ATS), neither have the same support or comfort as the Cobalts.  The Cobalts are worth the price you pay for them, they will be more than double the cost of the Terrains.
