Fw: [RC] rear leg swelling/not lame - Dot Wiggins

Had similar thing several years ago with a 3 yr old, not being worked or riden, just in pasture. Rather marked filling on back and outside of one hind ankle/tendon. Never lame, never sore to palpate or flex. 3 vets said it was a filling of the tendon sheath, cosmetic, might or might not go away. Horse was sold 6 months or so later, filling was smaller but still there, no unsoundness we could see.

Vet was just out- inconclusive! Says riding should be ok because no pain, no heat, not lame. The swelling is in the extensor tendon area...Any ideas, should I get the horse ultra sounded? Thanks
