This might work well too, I've been really happy with nustock, www.nustock.com. Used it for many different things on cats, dogs and horses. Sulphur is a bug repellent too.

We went on-line and found a remedy from Dr. Matthew Mckay smith for sweet itch. It is a oily solution with Avon skin so soft, baby oil, hydrocortisone cream, benadryl cream
