RE: [RC] [RC] Horse Slaughter - Mel CochranI imagine that horses are pretty tasty to some people...I am not going to judge people for eating horses, nor try to prevent them from getting the meat from American horses. So what if a horse ends up on a dinner plate? I was happy when Congress approved allowing UNADOPTABLE mustangs to be slaughtered. It beats the heck out of my taxpayer dollars going towards keeping horses penned up and miserable for the rest of their lives. People need to stop with all of the overly-emotional reactions to this. Be reasonable and really think about things.I love my horses and feel that I am a responsible owner. In my mind, part of me owning owning horses is to make sure that they are treated humanely and come to a humane end when the time comes. I plan to bury my horses, but I am not going to push what I want for my horses onto everyone else. Some people do not have the option of burial. What is so wrong with eating horse meat? The horse has moved on to a better place so let someone get some benefit from the carcass. I think it is more noble than being used for dog food. Mel For the millionth time. I am talking about stopping the selling of horses remains for human consumption!
