( Except emotion) This reminds me of a time a few years ago when the newspaper's in Toronto were full of reports of how a certain country was terrible and barbaric because the citizens ate dogs!! ( Gasp) I couldn't understand why people who were happily munching on a beef burger thought it was o.k. to eat one animal and not another. I am a vegetarina because I cannot stand the thought of any animal dying for me- however I don't mind if other people eat meat- cow-horse or otherwise as long as it was treated humanely at the end, this is where the changes should be made. So- can someone help me understand why horses shouldn't be eaten and cows should? I assume from the part that stipulates "human consumption" that it is going to continue to be o.k. to put horsemeat in dog food etc..??

I am talking about stopping the selling of horses remains for human consumption!
