Mine like to play with George, my year old donkey, when he isn't out pulling the wagon or with each other. With 12 horses in the paddock they have plenty of choice in friends and companions.
same here - they mostly play with each other - I've seen them chase the occasional chicken as well hihi

we do however dump just cut branches and tree stumps in their (dirt) paddocks so that they can eat the bark ( especially birch & hazel trees) - keeps them buzy for ages and afterwards they look really funny with green marks on their faces.

only nuisance is to cut the trees by hand saw rather than chainsaw to avoid petrol etc. deposits on them
