Subject: [RC] small in the scheme of things but huge to me!

I finally got to my very first ride this past weekend. The Oak Leaf Spring Run in Allegan, MI. I rode my 9yo qh/arab Casino in the 25 ld and it was wonderful! I am so hooked and I can't wait for more. We came in 8th place (friend we were riding with was 7th hehe 1 min ahead). I think our finishing time was just under 4 hours including the 45 minute hold. Casino took to it like an old pro, the only glitch was him not wanting to drink the first half. His hydration was excellent though so I guess he just tanked up the night before (filled his big muck bucket of water twice). We didn't get bc but he did very well in that also. The really funny part about it is he is a little out of shape still so he kept getting b's on muscle tone but a's on everything else. The funny part about that is he did all this carrying 270 lbs of me and tack and was barefoot the whole way. I am so proud of my boy!
