People tailbones?  Ugghh...been there, done that.  Broke mine riding in the bed of a pickup at age 17.  Hurt bad for about 4-5 months, had to be really careful how I sat for about a year, riding a horse (sitting in the saddle) hurt for several years.  It was 5 or 6 years before I could pretty much stop thinking about it, although even now, 28 years later, it'll remind me that all is not right down there if I do the wrong thing, like straddle a board fence wrong, etc.
