change your diagonal? i never have understood that. if you are up on one, you are down on the other. you are on the horse the whole time. does it really make a difference? to you? or the horse? cowboy ed

Yes. If you post on the same diagonal all the time, your horse will develop
more muscling on one side. You want your horse to be evenly developed all around. He'll stay sounder longer and go farther faster.
