No, but rule 2.1 does now say that a ride vet must remain at the ride
site until at least an hour after the last horse finishes or returns to
camp.

So yes, indeed, things have improved immensely since "the good old
days."  

It is worth note that there was likewise not yet a fit-to-continue
criterion in the days when these nobody-left-in-camp stories occurred.
