Geeeze! While I wish the weather was a little better in eastern Kansas, the $11,500 mortgage for 24 months for our 5A and house and small barn sure makes up some of the difference.

Debbie is right.  That's $30-40k/acre in 5-acre parcels.

There are three parcels in Ponderosa Basin:  5A @ $178k, 12.3A @ $239k and 13.37A @ $269k.

Also there are two 40A parcels that are pretty remote.  They overlook the Merced River and are accessed on dirt roads through BLM and Nat'l Forest land.  Bet there's no phone or electricity - possible.  They are priced at $49,950 and $69,950.
