Re: [RC] Good riding Properties in Florida - Truman PrevattThere are a large number of options in FL. There are lots of developments that border on state forest in FL and the state forest in FL are a valuable source of riding opportunities. My favoirite is the Withlacoochee state forest. It is located (except for one tract) in the FL sand hills and you have a variety of both terrain and climate. It is also close enough to Tampa to allow for some "city enteriment" if the mood strikes. It is also close to Ocala - the horse capital of the world ;-) ! Check http://www.fl-dof.com/state_forests/withlacoochee.html where you can also find info on all the state forest. The forest office in on US 41 just North of Brooksville. If you venture to Brooksville give me a call, I'm in the book.
