There are a large number of options in FL. There are lots of 
developments that border on state forest in FL and the state forest in 
FL are a valuable source of riding opportunities.

My favoirite is the Withlacoochee state forest. It is located (except 
for one tract) in the FL sand hills and you have a variety of both 
terrain and climate. It is also close enough to Tampa to allow for some 
"city enteriment" if the mood strikes. It is also close to Ocala - the 
horse capital of the world ;-) !
