Re: [RC] Lud's horse - Barbara McCraryOddly enough, this horse was a tremendous multi-day horse when he was younger. He holds a record that may not have been held by any other horse in AERC...5 wins and 5 BCs on one 5-day ride. But it seems as he got older, he became worse about not drinking, so we passed him on to a less strenuous life-style.Barbara ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bruce Weary DC" <bweary@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, March 27, 2006 6:44 AM Subject: [RC] Lud's horse I echo Heidi's sentiment about moving a horse on when it shows itself not adaptable to this sport. Interesting how a "drinking problem" in horses can be just as pernicious as a "drinking problem" in people. Myself, I have strict rules about that. I only drink when I am alone or with somebody.
