Re: [RC] [RC] Ol' Time E'olytes - Truman Prevatt - KimFue

Truman,
This thread is not taking on religous fervor in my opinion and it is still no excuse for you to use inflamatory words which can inhibit good discussion.

There are many sources to get information and learn about endurance riding.  You are correct that ride vets and local riders are one source are a good source.  Books, internet lists like ridecamp , equestrian magazines, mentors are another.  If riders that are using "ridecamp" and other internet  claim the reason they did not e lyte was because they read it on ridecamp it DOESN'T mean that a civil discussion voicing all opinions can't  be had on Ridecamp.  It is up to the "reader" to interpret what information gleened is useful or helpful for their situation AND FOR THEIR INDIVIDUAL HORSE AND SITUATION.   It seems like you are saying that serious discussions on actual endurance topics shouldn't be had because someone might use "some information" from ridecamp an improper way.  The same could be said about discussions on conditioning programs, feeding, etc.  What would you like to see discussed in a serious manner that is endurance related that could not be used in an improper way by a new rider or an inexperienced rider??
