Re: [RC] what do you take to a ride? - rdcarrie

Don't forget feed pan(s), water tub, horse containment system (pen, electric fence, or are you tying to your trailer?), Coggin's if required, horse carrots, :)  folding chair (for ride meeting), and flashlight (for walking around camp after dark).

Have fun!

Subject: [RC] what do you take to a ride?

I'm going to be doing my first 25 mile ride in a few weeks and was wondering what everybody considers must haves and maybe some not so must but still like to haves? Luckily the ride is only a 1/2 hour or so from the place I board so I can get something brought to me that I forget. Here is what I have so far:

riding gear (saddle, girth, breastcollar, sidepull and bit attachment, saddlepad, helmet, saddlebags, water bottles, hr monitor, gps)

blankets, buckets, first aid, easy boots, feed, beet pulp, hay, pro bi, electrolytes, sponges, grooming brushes, hoof pick, hay bag, cooler sheet, rump rug, camping gear, people food, my clothes, DUCT TAPE

Thats about where my brain goes numb, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Also what first aid supplies do you guys keep with you? Thanks again.
