[RC] Rainy rides - Suzy Ticer

Rain, what is that? I live in Central Texas and we are in the middle of a long hot drought. Everyone here is praying for rain so that we can maybe afford to buy hay this spring. I did a training ride a couple of weeks ago in the rain. It was great. I was soaked to the skin by the time I got home and I didn't even bother to wash the horse off. He was only going to get muddy anyway.

I have ridden in the rain at a couple of rides. The threat of rain does not stop us from going to a ride, I have a very good poncho. If you stand for BC, don't be surprised at your weight after a ride in the rain. My husband weighed a good 30 pounds more than normal and I weighted an extra 25 pounds more than normal.

Send some of that rain this way, PLEASE!!!
