The article is entitled Tevis 2005 and the author is Jamie Fend. It begins on page 98 and continues through page 104. Anyway, This article is beautifully done from the point of view of the sports enthusiast. The coverage treats the Tevis as an important athletic event...much like the coverage of the New York Marathon or the Ironman. Well done, interesting for a broadly based audience as well as the serious horseman and loaded with wonderful pictures. It's devoted primarily to the strategies, drama and efforts of the Top Ten. It was so nice not to have to seriously hunt through the article with a magnifying glass to even find out who actually won the race. Too bad this article isn't dissemninated more throughout the allbreed publications. It could do a lot for the sport of endurance from a fun and excitement standpoint.
