I go one farther.  I put the liquid ivomec in their feed.  Don't have to fight with even putting it in there mouth.  The cattle ivomec (+1) has a dewormer for liver flukes which cows are very prone to.  The wormer is BAD for horses so do be sure you get the straight ivomec.
